Terms
-Only current members of Akron Film may rent equipment. Become a member for as little as $10.
-Attendance at a free equipment orientation workshop is required before renting. Check the calendar for the next one.
-Equipment may be rented for a maximum of five consecutive days.
-The equipment rented shall be picked up and returned by the renter at his/her own risk and expense.
-The following items will be required at time of equipment pick-up:
-A photo ID with current mailing address
-A $100 deposit above the cost of rental or your credit card information
-Full payment for rental. Additional fees, if applicable, are due upon the equipment’s return.
-At time of pick-up we will have a form for you to sign that lists each item you’re renting, including all accessories.
-Deposit will be forfeited, or credit card will be charged up to $100, if equipment is not returned or is returned damaged.
-Equipment rentals are per day. Equipment must be returned by appointment before 7:00 PM on the due date to avoid late fees.
-Rentals returned after the date and time due will be charged a late fee of twice the daily rental rate for each day or partial day that the equipment remains overdue.
-Cancellation within 24 hours of the equipment’s scheduled pickup is subject to a cancellation fee of one-half of a one-day rental. “No shows” will be charged for a full one-day rental.
-Rented media (memory cards, hard drives) will be erased immediately upon return. So, make sure you’ve copied your files before returning equipment.
-In the event reserved equipment is unavailable on the day it is reserved for (due to late return, loss, etc.), AF will make every effort to provide comparable equipment for the rental period, but this is not guaranteed.
